1. HEALTH & SAFETY POLICY (UK COMPLIANT)
1.1 Statement of Intent
Angel Cover is fully committed to complying with the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work etc.
Act 1974 and all associated regulations. We aim to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health, safety, and welfare of our employees, clients, contractors, and members of the public.
1.2 Responsibilities
Management
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation
- Provide appropriate training, supervision, and resources
- Carry out and review risk assessments
Employees
- Take reasonable care of their own health and safety
- Cooperate with management on safety matters
- Report hazards, accidents, and near misses
1.3 Arrangements
- Risk assessments conducted for all sites
- COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) compliance maintained
- PPE provided and enforced (gloves, masks, eye protection where necessary)
- Equipment regularly inspected and maintained
- Accident reporting in line with RIDDOR (Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations)
2. RISK ASSESSMENT POLICY
Angel Cover undertakes formal risk assessments in accordance with the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999.
2.1 Key Hazards Identified
- Slips, trips, and falls
- Manual handling injuries
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals
- Electrical hazards
2.2 Control Measures
- Use of wet floor signage
- Manual handling training for staff
- COSHH data sheets available for all chemicals
- PAT-tested equipment used where applicable
2.3 Review
Risk assessments are reviewed:
- Annually
- After incidents
- When work processes change
3. METHOD STATEMENT – CLEANING OPERATIONS
3.1 Scope
This method statement applies to all commercial and domestic cleaning services provided by Angel Cover.
3.2 Procedure
- Site-specific risk assessment conducted
- Work area prepared and secured
- Warning signage displayed
- PPE worn by all operatives
- Cleaning carried out using approved materials and methods
- Waste disposed of in accordance with Environmental Protection Act 1990
- Final inspection conducted by supervisor
3.3 Safety Controls
- No mixing of chemicals
- Adequate ventilation ensured
- Safe storage of cleaning agents
4. ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
Angel Cover is committed to environmental sustainability and compliance with environmental legislation.
Commitments:
- Use environmentally friendly products where reasonably practicable
- Reduce waste and promote recycling
- Dispose of waste in accordance with Duty of Care regulations
- Minimise water and energy consumption
5. SAFEGUARDING POLICY
Angel Cover recognises its responsibility to safeguard children and vulnerable adults in accordance with UK safeguarding legislation.
Key Principles:
- All staff conduct themselves professionally at all times
- Any concerns are reported immediately to management
- Staff working in sensitive environments may be DBS-checked where required
6. PRIVACY POLICY (UK GDPR COMPLIANT)
Angel Cover complies with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and Data Protection Act 2018.
Data Collected:
- Names and contact details
- Service-related information
Purpose:
- Deliver services
- Communicate with clients
- Maintain records
Data Protection Measures:
- Secure storage of data
- Restricted access to authorised personnel only
- Data retained only as long as necessary
Rights of Individuals:

7. TERMS & CONDITIONS
7.1 Services
Services will be delivered as agreed in writing with the client.
7.2 Payment Terms
- Payment terms agreed prior to commencement
- Late payments may incur interest in line with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998
7.3 Liability
- Angel Cover maintains Public Liability Insurance
- Liability is limited to the value of the service provided
- Pre-existing damage must be reported prior to service
7.4 Cancellations
Minimum 24 hours’ notice required. Failure may result in a cancellation fee.

9. COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE
Process:
- Complaint received via email or phone
- Acknowledged within 24 hours
- Investigated within 3–5 working days

10. INSURANCE STATEMENT
Angel Cover maintains appropriate insurance cover, including but not limited to:
- Public Liability Insurance
- Employer’s Liability Insurance (where applicable)
